Configuration Required - May Require Services

What's New

  • Task Code Phase Limit (TCPL) Fee Arrangement is now available. The TCPL application is an Alternative Fee Arrangement (AFA) that provides an easy way for clients and vendors to manage fee limits on specific tasks or project phases.
    • See additional details on this new Fee Arrangement here
  • Specific history captures are added to the document "View History," including X user checked in/out, updated file name, added a comment, changed the document type, and changed the parent folder.
  • Changes to the lock / unlock file ability: users can lock and unlock an uploaded file, and only a user that locked a file (or system admins) can unlock that file.
  • "Upsert" check box and "remote_key" unique key are now needed to create a client project in BillingPoint.
  • Updates to the Matter Management home suite for ELM. My Recent Activity widget updated to include additional data points and 3 new widgets added:
    • Matters by Country
    • Most Expensive Matters
    • Matters by Area of Law

Performance and Configuration Enhancements

  • In the Billing Authorization Request (BAR) application, the Elevate Calculated Fields option is replaced by a "Recalculate Single Transaction" option. Transaction Created and Transaction Updated business rules will fire the existing "Recalculate Single Transaction" action.
  • In the BAR applications Conditions section, "Curr State Name" is replaced by Phase.
  • In the Contact Involvement to Matter (CITM) application, "Curr State Name" is replaced by "Phase."
  • In the CITM application, the "Create New Contact" "Create Related Transaction" option is replaced by "Find" or "Create Related Transaction."
  • In the CITM application, the "Set Involvement End Date" UT action now uses Field Updates instead of Parameters.
  • In the CITM application, the "Update Existing Contact" action now uses Field Updates instead of Liquid.
  • In the Document application, users can now access previous versions of a document from within a document.
  • In the Matter application, "Curr State Name" is replaced by "Phase."
  • Instituted performance improvements in child applications (Tasks, VATM, Close Matter, etc.) for the Matter application; targeted "Single Recalculations" only recalculate the required fields, or an "Update Transaction" only updates the required fields.
  • Security Groups application is now renamed ELM Security Groups.
  • The "Vendor" is now displayed in the Vendor Discounts application; users can remove the vendor if necessary.
  • When budget details are edited, amounts are now displayed in the format previous amount > current amount. That formatting is only applicable to the fields the user can update on the Budget Detail application.
  • "Elevate Calculated Fields" are now turned off in the Budget Detail app.

Resolved Issues

  • If any of the budget details are in the “Reforecasted” phase, the “Request Reforecast” button on the budget record is now hidden.
  • Fixed minor typos in email notifications sent when creating a Matter record.
  • “Invoice” total field is now updated to exclude Early Payment Discount (EPD) once EPD is applied.
  • Japanese currency display error (displayed with two decimal points) is fixed on the “Rejected Budget Detail” notification.
  • The “Currency” field now displays in the initial budget request notification for External Budgets.
  • “Creating budget” spinner/banner on VATM no longer displays after the budget is created.
  • Budget Record now correctly displays as “Rejected” instead of “Pending Approval” once a budget detail is rejected.
  • Fixed the “New Contact” OOTB list in ELM by renaming the “email_address” field to “contact_email_address,” matching the Contact app.
  • “Internal Budget Remaining” fields on VATM now update after the amounts are updated for the forecasted budget.
  • EPD checkbox now remains on the VATM once invoices are added to the matter.
  • Matters now reopen if the External Budget details are not submitted by the vendor and the trailing invoice days have a number that is greater than zero.
  • When the VATM is reopened and the related budget is in “Pending Submission,” the budget now reopens in “Pending Submission” phase – not “Pending Approval.”
  • A blank form is now displayed every time a user attempts to close a Matter, removing all values entered on a prior attempt.
  • The “My Most Expensive Matters” widget now shows the limited number of matters sorted by spend.
  • After enabling Appeals and adjusting an invoice, clients are now able to send the adjusted invoice to Appeal.
  • After reopening the VATM, the budget record phase changes to “Pending Approval” and not “Closed.”
  • On the Quick Launch menu in ELM, users can now associate an “Add Status Update” entry with a specific matter. This means users can now store a status update to any matter on the fly – versus having to first open the matter and adding the detail.
  • For those clients using a fiscal year accrual calendar, accrual values are now tied to fiscal records and are aggregated for client reporting and information.
  • The “Matter Sub Type” field is now hidden from notifications when a participant is added to a Matter that does not contain a Matter Sub Type.
  • Business rule is updated so the Last Billed Date on a VATM only fires on the first invoice received on a given day.
  • “Update MV BP info if Matter BP info is changed” business rule within the Matter application is now working.
  • Fixed the sporadically occurring “Stale Atom Error” when creating Invoice Payment Records.
