OnitX ELM

Enhancements - Available on Release

  • Added in an option to suppress the invoice due date.

  • BPT Suites have been updated to support Unity Styling standards as part of the OnitX 26.3 release. This includes the Spend Suite, Matter Suite, and Vendor Suite templates, aligning their experience with the broader OnitX design system.
Enhancements - Configuration Required
  • Streamlined matter manager replacement in the Matter app, making it faster to swap out a matter's assigned manager.

  • Removed the “Request Budget from Vendor” business rule that automatically fired in the VATM app on transaction creation, simplifying that workflow.

  • Removed the “Reopen BAR” button from Billing Authorization Requests. BARs are now reopened from the VATM record, which correctly reopens both the BP and AB records and keeps billing availability status accurate for clients.

Unity ELM

New Features and Enhancements - Available on Release

  • Unity now includes Pro Forma invoice functionality from ELM. This adds the ability to introduce a pro forma invoice workflow directly in Unity. Pro forma invoices are invoices with international taxes submitted by the vendor in a draft state so that the invoice can now be adjusted and the Pro Forma adjustments are reportable. This new workflow can help capture the savings information which is otherwise lost to rejection. (Note: Released July/August)

Learn more about Pro Forma functionality with the Pro Forma Invoice user guide
  • Unity ELM now supports invoice-level tax details passed from Counsel Exchange so clients can clearly see taxes applied to an invoice. Invoice-level discounts are also supported, and related financial dashboard and reporting calculations have been updated accordingly.
  • Introduced enhanced commenting functionality between Unity and Counsel Exchange, enabling back-and-forth communication between vendors and clients directly on invoices and Timekeeper (TK) rate requests.
  • Ask Unity can now work with customer-specific custom attributes configured in a client environment. Users can ask questions about custom attribute fields and generate visualizations from that data, with role permissions enforced.
  • The Unity ELM Financials Dashboard is rebuilt in Superset using a standardized data warehouse dataset and defined calculations for reporting metrics. The new dashboard supports global filters, customizable charts and filters, and export and sharing capabilities, with validation and phased migration from the legacy dashboard.

Counsel Exchange

Enhancements - Available on Release

  • Vendor account cleanup: Users who were linked to more than one vendor account have been consolidated to a single account, removing confusion around invoice access and permissions.
  • Validation Insights improvements: Line-item warnings now show the affected timekeeper name and ID, and warning and rejection icons have been made more visually distinct from Health Score indicators so actionable invoice errors stand out.
  • Introduced enhanced commenting functionality between Unity and Counsel Exchange, enabling back-and-forth communication between vendors and clients directly on invoices and Timekeeper (TK) rate requests.
  • "Finalize Pro Forma Invoice" dialog is updated to use Unity components.
  • Instituted UI feedback updates.

Spend Agent

Enhancements - Available on Release

  • Matter-level documents that are marked as “Required for Spend Agent” are automatically included in the Spend Agent review process, so that Spend Agent can evaluate invoices using all relevant engagement documentation at a matter level and supporting materials associated with the matter.

  • Spend Agent can now automatically calculate and surface recommended monetary adjustments for clear, rule-based variances so that it can confidently apply valid corrections, understand the financial impact of decisions, and streamline invoice review.

You can turn Spend Agent Adjustments on under your Settings within a vendor record.

You'll see the suggested adjustment pop up when you hover over the Flags on an invoice. You can also click into the line-item to view more Spend Agent adjustment details.

Ask Unity

Enhancements - Available on Release

  • Expanded Ask Unity to include five additional ELM data entities: Invoice Reviewer Rules, Matter Allocations, Purchase Orders, Budgets, and Accruals. This expands the range of legal operations data users can explore via chat, with access aligned with role-based permissions for sensitive data objects. Additionally, Ask Unity now supports client-configured custom attributes in chat queries. This allows users to query and analyze client-specific fields through natural language, expanding coverage beyond standard data models.
  • Ask Unity chat can now be accessed from individual Unity pages through a persistent chat widget embedded across the product. Chats started from these page-level panels are created automatically and saved to the main Ask Unity chat history for a consolidated experience.
  • In support of the Ask Unity architecture, users can now ask support questions or product how-tos directly in chat

ContractWorks/SecureDocs/ReadySign/ReviewAI Release Notes

Enhancements - Available on Release

  • ReviewAI now expands data extraction beyond text to support structured field types such as dates, numbers, currencies, dropdown values, and checkboxes. This enables contract information to be mapped directly into records with greater consistency for intake, reporting, amendment tracking, and compliance review.
  • The Preferences page in ContractWorks Premium has been redesigned with a more modern and streamlined interface. The update improves visual clarity, navigation, and access to key actions while preserving existing workflows.
  • You can now reprocess auto-tagging in bulk for up to 300 contracts at a time within a single folder level. The update uses generative AI to analyze documents and extract contract data, clauses, and other key components, with asynchronous job processing and customer-facing status messaging for batch progress.
  • Instituted Virus Scanning on documents for SecureDocs/ContractWorks/ReadySign. This change was made to ensure we enable virus scanning on documents to keep our product secure. Virus Scanning will happen after upload in the background, and the user won't see any change unless the file is marked as infected.
