Available in Beta; General release date in March

Ask Unity is an AI-powered data exploration tool designed to revolutionize how legal operations teams interact with their legal data. Unlike traditional dashboards or static reports, Ask Unity allows users to ask questions in plain English and receive intelligent, data-driven responses in real-time. The tool supports a variety of use cases, from quick ad hoc queries to more complex financial analysis.

What sets Ask Unity apart is its ability to not only answer questions but also generate AI-powered visualizations—including pie charts, bar charts, line graphs, and more—that can be downloaded and embedded into executive presentations.

Features include:

  • Faster Insights: Ask a question, get a real-time answer—instantly.
  • Self-Service for All: Democratizes data access across legal, finance, and leadership roles.
  • AI-Powered Visuals: Generate charts and graphs on the fly, ready to drop into presentation decks.
  • Decision-Making at Speed: Drive smarter, more strategic actions with less effort.
  • Natural Language Querying: Ask questions in plain English.
  • Downloadable Results: Exports for presentations and audits.
  • Future Expansion: Initial release supports spend data queries. Upcoming enhancements will enable Ask Unity to handle matter data and more.

Note: The current beta release of Ask Unity focuses on spend data only. Future iterations will expand the assistant's capabilities to support matter data and other legal operations datasets within Unity.

General File Sharing

Introduces a secure, centralized capability within our Vendor Portal that enables clients and vendors to exchange key operational documents within the system. With this new functionality, both clients and vendors can upload, review, and maintain visibility into shared documents tied to their business relationship.

This enhancement addresses a long-standing gap in legal operations where foundational agreements and documents are often managed through disconnected email threads or external portals. These fragmented processes create inefficiencies, increase compliance risks, and reduce transparency.

Ultimately, this capability strengthens operational alignment, enhances compliance, and builds trust between corporate legal departments and their outside counsel while reducing administrative overhead and improving user experience. View the General File Sharing user guide here

Onit Support Assistant

Added a support assistant chat widget to BillingPoint to provide users with AI-powered chat support. This support chat quickly answers basic how-to questions about BillingPoint; it supports multiple languages, allowing users to receive support in their preferred language. Reprocessing AI Tags

To minimize manual rework and simplify the tagging workflow, users can now initiate AI tag reprocessing on individual documents without having to re-upload the files. This is helpful in cases when auto-tagging previously failed or when auto-tagging on a document needs to be refreshed.

AI Tag Limits for Templates

A default maximum limit of 20 AI-enabled tags is now set for each tag template to ensure AI activity and cost are tied directly to usage and not just storage. Once the limit is reached for a template, users will be shown a tooltip message.

To avoid data loss, any AI-enabled tags created from a template that has reached its limit are added to the tags library but not applied to the template. The user is notified of this action and can manually remove an existing AI tag and replace it with the new one.

Tag Template Automation

Applying tags to uploaded documents can be time-consuming for contract administrators. To streamline the process, they will be able to associate templates with predefined sets of tags to specific folders in the repository so that they are automatically applied to uploaded documents and extract the relevant data. The templates can be tailored to specific document types or other business needs.

Precision Redlining

The objective of Precision Redlining is to increase user confidence in AI-assisted contract reviews by ensuring the preservation of as much original content as possible while still enforcing compliance and business objectives.

Playbook Manager users can now define redlining rules with add, replace, and delete options at the word level. Rules are created using natural language prompts for precise AI-powered text modifications that are minimal but impactful so as not to disrupt the overall document structure. Based on the selected playbook, ReviewAI users can then view the redlining automatically applied to the document.

Additional Redlining Enhancements

To ensure accuracy and effectiveness in AI prompts applying redline edits to the same clause in a document, we added a workflow that cross-references previously applied redlining prompts to check for source text before the prompt is executed.

Checklist Search for Word Add-In

To improve the overall user experience of choosing a checklist from the Word Add-In, we added a search bar to help users quickly find and select the correct checklist for AI reviews.

CLM Approver Metrics

The CLM Cycle Time dashboard includes two new Tableau widgets that visualize average time to approval by approver and longest pending approvals by approver. Contract Administrators can click on the tree graph charts to drill down into the data.
