While there are no new feature updates this month for OnitX ELM, our focus is on Unity UX for ELM. Please contact your customer success manager to discuss the Unity UX timeline if you are interested.

• Resolved an issue where PDF attachments with Chinese-character filenames appeared with garbled, URL-encoded names after being emailed as a ZIP file.
• Fixed a bug in Counsel Exchange that prevented users from adding a new rate to an existing timekeeper.
• Corrected an issue where invoices under the Pro Forma Invoice Workflow incorrectly moved to "Approved" instead of "Approved Pro Forma" after approval rules ran — this had been blocking vendors from completing Pro Forma invoice finalization.
• Fixed missing error messaging when submitting an invoice appeal on an adjusted line item that's missing a required comment.
• Resolved an issue where adjusted-discount invoice appeals were missing the comment column, which had prevented vendors from submitting their appeal.
• Removed the standalone Currency column from the Timekeeper Rate review tables; added currency codes directly alongside the values in both the Approved Rate and Proposed Rate columns.
• Fixed an issue that prevented invoices containing invoice-level taxes from successfully submitting to Unity.
• Vendors will be able to add an internal matter number for tracking purposes to Matters for Unity clients.

• Invoice attachments/backup will be able to be uploaded simultaneously with the LEDES file and attached to the invoice within Counsel Exchange for Unity clients based on attachment naming.

• You will be able to see detailed invoice adjustment activity in both the invoice history log and the activity log, including line-level adjustments. The logs now show who made the adjustment, when it happened, and whether it came from a manual change, a custom setting, or an invoice validation rule.
• You will be able to use client-defined staff classifications for timekeepers instead of relying on vendor-entered values. These classifications can be assigned directly in Unity and used consistently during timekeeper review, helping standardize classification data across vendors.
• You will be able to configure approval workflows for timekeeper rate reviews using custom rules and conditional routing. This allows rates to follow different approval paths based on criteria such as vendor, rate threshold, classification, currency, matter, or custom fields.
• You will be able to retrieve timekeeper data through an API. This will expand access to timekeeper information for integrations and reporting, while keeping diversity data restricted unless explicit approval is in place.

• A new Spend Agent dashboard will give teams a centralized view of invoice review performance and financial impact. Users can quickly assess compliance trends, adjustments, violations, reviewer activity, and vendor performance, with the ability to drill into vendor-specific details to understand what is driving results.

• Each request will now have its own email address, so you can send or forward emails and attachments directly to a record and keep the full correspondence history in one place. Captured messages appear on the record with their details and attachments, and replies to supported notifications can be associated back to the same request.
• The intake form experience will be updated with request type tiles and a two-step form flow, making it easier to start and complete a request. The form now uses a locked height and a floating toolbar, which helps the layout stay consistent while you work.

• For eligible matter RFPs, matter date ranges and budget details will flow into OnitX ELM Matter Management for budget tracking and enforcement.
• You will be able to require conflict approval before vendors continue with an RFP response when the conflict of interest setting is enabled. Vendors with a conflict can be limited to the conflicts section until the client waives the issue, while vendors without a conflict can continue to the remaining questionnaire sections.
• The RFP experience will include several usability updates across setup, reviews, vendor engagement, and grid filtering: practice area can populate from the selected matter; reviews move forward without requiring comments or separate submission at each step; vendor invitations can be resent; and grid filters now include updated default and optional choices.
• Users will be able to see automatic AI summaries for submitted RFP proposals, combining response data, fees, staffing, risks, and question answers into a single review panel (Note: for demonstration purposes only).
