December 2025 Release Notes

We've saved the best for last! 

As 2025 comes to an end, we’re excited to share our last software release of the year.  This will go live on Monday 15 December.  While it is only a minor release, it covers some valuable new enhancements. 

In addition to further performance improvements for EBilling.Space, we are pleased to provide you with the following new features: 

  • Law Firm side: Entire time entries record can be edited  
  • New Billing Guideline editor  
  • Enhancements for the Matters page 
  • Smart Invoice Converter: Create LEDES files on behalf of law firms  
  • Invoice warning icon: improved visibility  
  • For Germany only: New RVG table

Matter Enhancements

  1. Activity Stream: User who created, archived and re-activated the Matter are now shown with name, date and time.
  2. On the Matters details page, we have added a new field: Last update date displays the date of the most recent changes made to this matter.

3. On Matters list page there are two new columns:

a) Creation Date: Activation date of the Matter

b) Last Update date: Displays the date of the most recent changes made to this matter.

c) The Matter list table is sorted by last update date as default, so the Matters with recent changes are at the top of the table.

New Billing Guideline Editor

There is a new "Guideline for Law Firms" editor for sharing billing guidelines with your law firms. To add your guidelines and make them available to the firms, please follow these steps:

1. Login in EB.S as Admin.

2. Open Settings and then Guideline for Law Firms.

3. The following Guideline page opens:

4. At the bottom, you can find an Edit button. If you click on this button, the editor will open:

5. There are English and a German language sections.

6. By clicking the Restore default button in the upper right corner, EB.S inserts default description text. You may adjust this text or delete it entirely and enter your own.

7. At the bottom of the page, you can find the Save button.

8. Once saved, the  guidelines will be shown on Law Firm Side in the menu Time Tracking > Billing guidelines. The language displayed is automatically based on the user account's language:

NOTE: If a law firm supports more than one client in EB.S, the guide for each client is displayed on a separate tab.

Further Enhancements

1. Invoices can now also be linked to Credit and Reimbursement Notes. The linking feature is availablefor each individual invoice via the "…" menu.

2. Credit Notes are now shown as link on the expanded invoice record.

3. Invoice warning icon only active when toggle is activated. Default is deactivated. If you want to get this warning activated, please contact our support. Note that this icon appears when an invoice has no line items invoiced from WIP.

4. Law Firm side only: Law Firm users now can edit the entire time entries record including creation date, lawyer and matter:

Enhancement for Smart Invoice Converter

Smart Invoice Converter (SIC) on the client side can now support all law firms. This means you can generate LEDES files with SIC on behalf of any law firm onboarded to eBilling.Space.

Germany-Only: New RVG Table

On 1 June 2025, the new RVG table was introduced and is now available for RVG invoices in eBilling.Space. The new RVG is now part of the invoice review process during the invoice upload and can be selected on the "Create RVG invoice" page:
