OnitX CLM Word Add-In Updates

UX Refresh of the Onit Word Add-in

Onit has updated the look and feel of our Word Add-in to be more intuitive and easy to use. The navigation elements are now in a row across the top of the Add-in rather than down the left side. This will allow for more space horizontally for customers to navigate, negotiate and update contracts.

Light and dark mode are now also supported so the Word Add-in's look will match the contrast on your computing environment to reduce eye strain.

OnitX CLM Updates

Amendment Enhancements

In the previous OnitX CLM Summer 2024 release, we introduced a new amendment process to allow multiple contracts to be amended in parallel instead of amending one at a time. In the Fall release, we've made some adjustments to phases to follow the new process. Specifically:

  • When the Amend and Restate workflow is complete, the Amended From contract status should be the high phase Inactive and regular phase Restated
  • When the Amend workflow is complete, the Amended From contract status should be In Effect and Amended
  • If a contract has several amendments and then goes through the Amend and Restate process, all amendments to that contract should be in high phase Inactive and marked as a new phase called Restated

Legal Entity Hierarchy

OnitX CLM has introduced a new tree structure visualization for in the Legal Entities app. If no relationships exist, you can edit and save a Legal Entity record by assigning a parent in the Parent Entity field.

To view this newly created relationship, open the new Entity Hierarchy tab and observe the family of Legal Entities. All tiles are clickable so you can traverse the relationship with ease.

Other Party Hierarchy

OnitX CLM also is introducing the same tree structure visualization Other Parties app. If no relationships exist, you can edit and save the record by assigning a parent in the Parent Party field.

To view this newly created relationship, open the new Party Hierarchy tab and observe the family of Other Parties. Again, all tiles are clickable so you can traverse the relationship with ease.

Bugs Fixed

  • When adding multiple Other Parties from the CLM launch form, the Other Party Contact field was getting cleared out
  • Previously editing recipients in a DocuSign envelope was not updating the CLM phase
  • Phase Metric Details was not correctly relating to the CLM record, skewing timestamp data on the Lifecycle Metrics tab
Known Product Limitations
  • Approval Stamp workflow will display an error in certain scenarios
  • Phase change issues in the manual signature process
  • Blank table columns will be created if "Apply" button for Add/Remove fields is clicked more than one time
  • Sporadically the version number will be wrong from a repaper project
  • Timestamp on contracts created via Catalyst will have show a creation time of 00:00:00 UTC but be adjusted for the each user's timezone
  • Sporadically users will see duplicated Clause History records during from the Import Third Party Paper process
  • Sporadically the Cancel Signature Transaction button for DocuSign envelopes is not voiding some transactions
  • Amended and then cancelled contracts cannot be amended again
  • Changing the name of a condition in the new Condition Library can introduce issues in reusability, so we recommend not changing a name at this time; this will be addressed in a future OnitX CLM release
  • DocuSign Edit Signature functionality no longer working
