AdobeSign Enhancements

Recipient Message

CLM AdobeSign users can now add a personalized message to recipients during a Send for Signature transaction, which will appear in the AdobeSign signature request email. A message field is provided on the Send for Signature launch form. This field can be automatically populated with information from the contract record (such as the Contract Name, Legal Entity, Contract Type, and Paper Type), allowing efficient communication with all parties within a given transaction. This information is optional and can be edited or deleted as needed.

Once the rest of the form is complete, users may type any message and submit the form.

Ability to turn off signing order

As a supplemental option to utilizing a signing order for signature transactions, CLM users with AdobeSign can now send a request to all signers at once. Users can default to either option with a checkbox in CLM Settings while maintaining the ability to select a different option for individual transactions as needed. When the “Use Signing Order” checkbox is unchecked, the Routing Order field will not display, and all recipients will receive the signature request simultaneously.

Update AdobeSign Sender UI on Send for Signature Transaction

Users can determine whether to leverage the AdobeSign UI when initiating a signature transaction. A Send for Signature form checkbox provides this option for each transaction. Alternatively, a CLM Settings checkbox can be used to set a default.

Embedded Sending

CLM AdobeSign users can now utilize the AdobeSign UI to finalize a document before sending it for signature. In CLM Settings, users can select from being directed to either the “Draft” or “Author” landing page in AdobeSign.

"Draft" Landing Page setting: After clicking the link on the AdobeSign Sender View green banner, users are directed to the AdobeSign Draft page, where they may add recipients and update messaging before the transaction is sent. When “Draft” is selected in CLM Settings, a checkbox appears for “Preview by Default,” which is checked by default.

If “Preview by Default” is not checked, the transaction will be complete after clicking “Send” on the AdobeSign Draft page:

If “Preview by Default” is checked, users will be directed to the AdobeSign Preview page (where they can view the document and add signature tags for recipients) after clicking “Next” on the Draft page:

"Author" Landing Page setting: After clicking the link on the AdobeSign Sender View green banner, users are navigated directly to the AdobeSign Preview page, where they can view the document and add signature tags for recipients (see above screenshots).

When utilizing the “Author” Landing Page setting, to generate the Sender View link after the signature transaction has been submitted, go to the e-Signature status panel, check the transaction, click the “Actions” dropdown, and select “Update Signer Status”:

Cancel Signature Transaction

CLM AdobeSign users can now cancel a signature envelope after it has been sent. After a Send for Signature form has been successfully submitted, the “Cancel Signature Transaction” button appears on the CLM contract record. Click this button, and all parties listed on the signature transaction will receive a notification from AdobeSign that the signature request has been canceled, and signers will no longer be able to access the document.

An AdobeSign signature transaction can be canceled even if a document has been partially signed.

Please refer to the CLM Winter 2021 Release Notes: AdobeSign E-Signature Status Panel to review the updates to the AdobeSign status panel.

CLM Enhancements

User Profiles App

The new User Profiles app has allowed for reduced set-up time when creating users within CLM configuration, particularly for CLM/ELM users. Previously, the User Preferences app was the source for creating and updating users in CLM. The new User Profiles app allows CLM and ELM users to easily create, edit, and maintain their internal users via the same app.

Consolidated Add-In

Support for Multiple Add-ins

CLM can now support multiple Office extensions with dynamic URLs and new parameters in the login flow. Onit users previously limited to only one add-in can now utilize various add-ins simultaneously (for instance, CLM Connect+ReviewAI Add-In and the Onit Outlook Add-In).

CLM Connect+ReviewAI Add-In Installation Instructions:

Detailed installation instructions for sideloading the new CLM Connect+ReviewAI Word Add-In will be published very soon.

Known Issues

CLM Connect+ReviewAI Add-In UI issue: Header is cut off at smaller window sizes, when search results display and when accordions expand on Track Field page.
