We are excited to announce that the Best Practice Templates have been enhanced with additional features that cater to the voice of our customers. This release also comprises of significant updates to our backend scripts to optimize refresh times, ensure data consistency and improve user experience of all our reporting and DaaS customers. These updates will be released to all ELM customers on December 2, 2024.

Matter Suite Template
  • The Invoices Grid, accessible via different Invoice Aggregation buttons on the single Vendor Analytics Dashboard, now includes a 'Notes' column displaying the note associated with each invoice in Billing Point.
  • The 'Notes' column is also included when exporting the Invoices Grid to Excel or CSV format through the Export Grid functionality.
Vendor Suite Template
  • The Invoices Grid, accessible via the 'View Invoices' button on the single Matter Analytics Dashboard, now includes a 'Notes' column displaying the note associated with each invoice in Billing Point.
  • The 'Notes' column is also included when exporting the Invoices Grid to Excel or CSV format through the Export Grid functionality.

  • Timekeeper Rate Review Dashboard that serves as an internal benchmarking tool has been enhanced with a new 'Rate Type' filters that not only enables clients to compare approved and proposed rates for timekeepers but also enables comparing billed and effective rates.
  • Advanced filters such as these ensure accurate and like-for-like comparisons, aiding in the rate approval process.
DW/DaaS
  • Faster refresh completion times for both incremental and full warehouse refreshes for clients who do not rely on Best Practice Templates. This improvement comes from the system's ability to skip the refresh of internal tables that are used exclusively for generating Best Practice Templates.
  • 'Refresh Status DW' now provides accurate metadata such as status and timestamp when multiple warehouse refreshes are scheduled on the same day. This enhancement ensures that each refresh event is tracked individually, providing clearer visibility into the refresh process.
  • A new column called 'line_item_tax_type' has been added to the 'bp_invoices_line_item_cube'. This column specifies the tax type associated with each line item, such as FeeLineItemTax or ExpenseLineItemTax. For line items without a tax type, this column will be left blank.
  • Data warehouse now relies solely on 'updated_at' timestamp from the platform itself to capture delta records across Onit applications.
  • Clients will not be able to access DaaS services while an incremental or full warehouse refresh is in progress. This restriction is necessary to prevent data discrepancies and ensure that all reporting and analytics are based on the most up-to-date data. We recommend planning any critical reporting or data access activities around these refresh periods to avoid disruptions.
