Retry AI Auto-Tagging on Documents

by Sigmarie Soto Updated on

To minimize manual rework and simplify the tagging workflow, users can initiate AI tag reprocessing on documents without having to re-upload the files. This is helpful in cases when auto-tagging previously failed or when auto-tagging on a document needs to be refreshed. For example, reprocessing may be necessary if the prompt for an AI-enabled tag was previously modified or if the folder-level tag template was changed.

To initiate reprocessing:

1. Find the file in your repository and click on the … (more) option under the Actions column.

2. Select Reprocess AI.

NOTE: This option is not available for folders, for certain types of documents (e.g., password-protected files), or for documents that were reprocessed within the last 10 minutes.

3. Click Confirm when prompted. Before continuing, note that initiating reprocessing may overwrite data.

The Tags column displays a loading icon to indicate reprocessing is still in progress.

Once reprocessed, the green tag icon appears if the auto-tagging was successful and the Reprocess AI option is disabled for the next 10 minutes.
