If your department needs support from the legal team, you can use Unity LSR to quickly submit the request and track any updates. These requests can be anything from new business contracts to legal review of marketing or other communications. To complete the steps below, you must already be assigned the Business Requestor role in Unity LSR at a minimum. Contact an admin from your organization for assistance.

Creating a New Service Request
1. Click the + in the top navigation bar and select New Request.
2. Choose a service request template from the dropdown list.
3. Fill in or select options for requested fields; required fields are marked with asterisks (*). Below are default fields for all request types.
- Title*: Name as it will appear on the record in Unity LSR.
- Description*: Summary of the scope of the request.
- Priority*: Choose Low, Medium, of High.
- Business Impact: Choose one of the following: Blocking Purchase, Blocking Revenue, Regulatory Deadline, or Deadline.
- Requested Due Date: Enter the target due date in MM/DD/YYYY format or click the calendar icon at the far-right of the field. If using the calendar to set the requested due date, click Apply to save your entry.
- Tags: Choose one or more additional tags for filtering and categorization purposes and click Apply. This list is managed by your organization's admins. If you do not see an expected option, contact your admin for assistance.
- Change Type: Choose one of the following: Amendment, Renewal, Extension, Termination, or Addendum.
- Attachments/Upload/Link: Click within the field to find/select the file(s), or add the relevant URL. Whether a file, link, or both are allowed depends on the selected request type.
- Counterparty*: Enter the counterparty information.
If you need to change the template, click Back to Templates in the bottom-left corner.
4. Click Next to submit the information and create the record.
Tracking & Collaborating on Your Request
If you are notified that the legal department requires additional details or information to move forward, you can open the record and review their question or request from the Comments tab. To respond, click Comment in the top-right corner, enter your notes, and click Save.
Canceling a Request
If you no longer need the legal department to handle your request, you can click Service Requests Actions in the top-right corner of the request record and select Withdraw Request.
Should you need to reopen the request at a later date, select Resubmit as New from the Service Requests Actions menu.
Requesting a Follow-Up
If a request has already been marked as completed by the assignee but you require additional support or information, you can click Service Requests Actions in the top-right corner of the request record and select Request Follow-Up.
Enter the question into the field, click the checkmark, and click on Save in the bottom-right corner.
