Configuring the CounselMatch Link

by Shehzad Ahmad Updated on

This article will walkthrough how to enable a CounselMatch link for users and two different display options.

Adding a CounselMatch link is only available for ELM clients.

To enable the CounselMatch link:

  1. Go to Administration > Corporation Settings > Features
  2. Enable the "Enable CounselMatch" checkbox
  3. Click "Update"

You will receive a confirmation message. If you would like the link to show up in a more customizable location in the navigation menu then cancel and move onto Option 2. If you would like to proceed then click "Ok".

After you click "Ok", a dropdown will appear below the checkbox. Options in the dropdown will be Group Names from your Group Preferences app. You can select a single Group, multiple Groups, or select "All" if you would like this applied to all groups.

Click "Update" after the changes are done to save your configuration. If the user is in one of the selected groups then the link to CounselMatch will appear on the top left of the Suites Navigation menu.

Most configurations display different Suite Navigation menus based on the Group the user is in. To customize this:

  1. Go to your Group Preferences app
  2. Select a group record
  3. Edit the JSON in the "Suite Navigation Items" field to place your "Counsel Match" link in the desired location

Note: The screenshot below shows "CounselMatch" but that is not correct. Use "Counsel Match" (space in the middle) for the link to display correctly.

Now when you go to the Suite as a user in this group, you will see the link in the desired location.

Note: Both configuration options can be used together. Option 2 (Customizable Location) will take precedence. Option 1 will only display the link in the default location if the user does not already have the link in the customizable location.
