Unity ELM provides legal operations software to streamline the way corporate legal departments manage their matters, track and interpret spend, and collaborate with law firms and other vendors. By combining e-billing, matter management, accruals automation, and advanced reporting into a single, comprehensive solution, we centralize the functions and data necessary to make informed decisions and manage your entire legal department more efficiently.

Features include:

  • Ask Unity, an AI-powered data exploration tool designed to revolutionize how legal operations teams interact with their legal data (more information below). Available in Beta; General release date in March
  • Financials, giving users a place to view a summary of all legal spend for all matters and vendors (including KPIs and top 10 lists for core areas).
  • Matters, giving users a place to create new matters and view/review existing matters.  
  • Invoices, giving users a place to view, adjust, and approve/reject submitted invoices from vendors.
  • Accruals, giving users a place to view existing accruals and assign accruals contacts to vendors.
  • Vendors, giving users a place to add new vendors and manage vendor details and settings.
  • Budgets, giving users a place to forecast and track spend based on various allocatable attributes and other criteria.
  • Calendar, giving users a consolidated calendar view of Tasks, Events, and Court Rules (if applicable).
  • Tasks, giving users the ability to create tasks from scratch and from templates and view upcoming / completed tasks.
  • Timekeepers, giving users the ability to manage timekeepers and review timekeeper rates.
  • Address Book, containing a directory of all essential internal/external contacts for your organization.
  • Reports, giving users access to in-depth analytics for informed reports that fuel insights and drive productivity.

Ask Unity

Ask Unity is an AI-powered data exploration tool designed to revolutionize how legal operations teams interact with their legal data. Unlike traditional dashboards or static reports, Ask Unity lets users ask questions in plain English and receive intelligent, data-driven responses in real time. The tool supports a variety of use cases, from quick ad hoc queries to more complex financial analysis.  Available in Beta; General release date in March

Spend Agent

Onit's Spend Agent reviews invoices submitted by vendors against natural-language billing guidelines uploaded by Onit clients for each vendor. It instantly reviews invoices, providing detailed AI summaries to clients within Unity, enabling them to make highly informed decisions on approving or disputing invoices, or allowing the user to choose whether the AI automatically approves or disputes invoices as they come in.

Enhancements

Invoices Design Update

The invoice details page is updated to more quickly surface relevant information and actions for reviewers. This includes displaying the approve/reject buttons at the top of the details page, showing relevant attribute/amount information at a glance, and separating line items and other relevant data into tabs for better usability.

Assigning Invoice Reviewers & Followers on Records

The following records include a new Reviewers tab to separate the modal for assigning and managing reviewers and followers (also known as subscribers): Matters, Vendors, Legal Entities, and Practice Areas.

Manage Columns & Filters

The following list pages have a new Manage Filters button so that users can hide/reorder default filtering options: Matters, Invoices, Vendors, Budgets, Tasks, and Timekeepers. In addition, all list pages have the option to hide/reorder default columns (i.e., + Add Columns button at the far right of the table view).
