Creating Admin Portals

The portal page can allow users who are not logged into Onit to submit anonymous requests to various Apps, such as a Legal Service Request or a new Matter that needs legal review. Release Notes - Dec. 2019
Updated onArticle- We do our utmost to bring you a product that is free from errors, but we know that perfection is unattainable. So, for those rare cases when the user interface receives an error that it can't cope with, we've arranged things so that instead of a blank white screen, you will at least see a message that an error has occurred, with a link to our support portal.
- If your active session times out, naturally you are no longer allowed to perform most actions. Previously this brought on a rather cryptic error message. We now give you a message that actually tells you in plain English that your session has expired and you must log in again.
- It's now possible to have Records launched via anonymous portal link that automatically launch related Records on save.

Release Notes - Sep. 2019
Updated onArticle- New Widget: the Data View Widget! These are a bit like the existing App Panels, it can be configured to display App Records, and be arranged according to a data view saved from the Designer.
On the dashboard, you can change the filtering and sorting, but you can't add or remove columns. Changes you make don't save; any refresh will cause the view to revert to the base configuration. As with a table widget, there's a link at the top which will take you to a grid with the full app dashboard grid functionality.
- You can now copy entire Suites using the Duplicate button.
- The list of variables in the Liquid preview editor now has icons next to the variable names. Click on the clipboard icon to copy that variable name to your clipboard, and then use a paste command to paste it. If you click on the icon showing {{}}, on paste the name will be surrounded by {{ }}.
- A system administrator now has to confirm before canceling a batch process.

Creating a Sibling Relationship
Updated onArticleMany times, different transactions in your apps will be related to each other from a business perspective. By creating a sibling relationship between the related transactions, you can provide your users with a way to both see and leverage these relationships in a meaningful and helpful way.
This may sound too abstract, so let’s look at an example. Let’s say that we have one Onit app that handles contract approvals and another app that handles invoices. Though these are entirely separate apps with different types of data and workflows, sometimes the information in a contract will be related to information in a invoice. When this is the case, you may want to show this relationship to your users, right in the Onit user interface.
Onit offers a simple and intuitive way to accomplish this: On each app’s View Page, you can offer users a button to relate a contract to an invoice (or vice-versa).
