Playbook Manager Permissions V1 (Feature)
We are introducing three levels of permissions in Playbook Manager Permission v1:
- PlaybookReadOnly
- PlaybookWriteMine
- PlaybookWriteAny
What can each permission level do?
PlaybookReadOnly:
- Users can view all the checklists in Playbook Manager. These will be displayed to them in the Summary View.
- They can download a JSON file of a Checklist through the main screen.
- They can export a .pdf summary when viewing the Checklist.
PlaybookWriteMine:
- Users can view all the checklists in Playbook Manager. The ones created by others are shown as Summary View. The ones made by themselves are shown in the standard editing view, though they can be switched to the summary view.
- They can download a JSON file of a checklist through the main screen.
- They can export a pdf summary when viewing the Checklist.
- They can create a new checklist by creating a blank Checklist, importing a Json, duplicating any existing Checklist, or using the template.
- They can edit checklists that they create by themselves.
PlaybookWriteAny:
- Users can view all the checklists in Playbook Manager. They can view all checklists in editing mode or switch to the summary view.
- They can download a JSON file of a checklist through the main screen.
- They can export a pdf summary when viewing the Checklist.
- They can create a new checklist by creating a blank Checklist, importing a Json, duplicating any existing Checklist, or using the template.
- They can edit any Checklists (created by them or others).
By default, all users are set up as level 3 PlaybookWriteAny, and they can do anything in the Playbook Manager. However, if the organization wants to limit access to specific users, it can contact us, and we will change these permission settings for them.
Users can’t see their permissions in the UI, but future improvements will include that information.
