Playbook Manager Permissions V1 (Feature)

In Playbook Manager Permission v1, we are introducing 3 levels of permissions:

  1. PlaybookReadOnly
  2. PlaybookWriteMine
  3. PlaybookWriteAny

What can each permission level do?

PlaybookReadOnly:

  • Users can view all the checklists in Playbook Manager. These will be displayed to them in the Summary View.
  • They can download a JSON file of a Checklist through the main screen.
  • They can export a pdf summary when viewing the Checklist.

PlaybookWriteMine:

  • Users can view all the checklists in Playbook Manager. The ones created by others are shown as Summary View. The ones made by themselves are shown in the standard editing view though they can switch to the summary view.
  • They can download a JSON file of a checklist through the main screen.
  • They can export a pdf summary when viewing the Checklist.
  • They can create a new checklist by creating a blank Checklist, importing a Json, duplicating any existing Checklist, or using the template.
  • They can edit checklists that are created by themselves.

PlaybookWriteAny:

  • Users can view all the checklists in Playbook Manager. All Checklists can be viewed in editing mode but can switch to the summary view.
  • They can download a JSON file of a checklist through the main screen.
  • They can export a pdf summary when viewing the Checklist.
  • They can create a new checklist by creating a blank Checklist, importing a Json, duplicating any existing Checklist, or using the template.
  • They can edit any Checklists (created by them or others).

Currently all users are set up as level 3 PlaybookWriteAny by default, and they can do anything in the Playbook Manager. But if the organization wants to limit the access to certain users, they can contact us and we will change these permission settings for them.

Users can’t see what permission they have in UI at the moment, but those will be included in the future improvements.
